Growing the Best Grassfed Organic Beef

All the beef we sell is certified organic. This means that all feed they eat must be completely free of GMOs, and no pesticides are used on GMO-resistant crops

Our cattle are 100% grass fed and 100% grass finished. They never eat grains. They are never in a feedlot.

Why Grass Fed?

Grass is the food nature intended for cattle; it is healthy for them and they in turn are healthy for you. Finishing cattle on grass takes longer than a feedlot (which is where supermarket beef comes from), but it is better for the animal, better for you and better for the environment. Our 100% grass fed, grass finished beef is more than delicious. It's a healthy alternative to conventional, grain fed "supermarket" beef. According to a Clemson University Study there are at least ten Health Advantages of Grass-Fed Beef:

  1. Lower in total fat

  2. Higher in beta-carotene

  3. Higher in Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol).

  4. Higher in B vitamins and riboflavin.

  5. Higher in the minerals calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

  6. Higher in total Omega-3s.

  7. Healthier ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 fats.

  8. Higher in CLA (potent cancer fighting qualities).

  9. Higher in Vaccenic Acid (which is converted by the body to CLA).

  10. Lower in saturated fats linked with heart disease.

Our Aberdeen Angus cattle come directly from our ranch to you. There is no middleman. We raise the cattle, pack the boxes, make the deliveries and run the store. That is how we control the quality of every piece of grass fed beef that leaves our ranch. While this may seem unusual, it is how ranching used to be before industrialized agriculture took over and the small family farmer was a thing of the past.

What do your cattle eat in the winter?

High quality winter feed also contributes to the best grassfed organic beef.
Even in winter, growing the best grassfed organic beef means diverse nutrition for summer-harvested pastures, and availability of dormant stockpile grass for animals to have free choice to select.
